We are delighted to announce this year’s Blood Red Dinner will be held at the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton on the evening of Friday 2nd November 2018. This is a unique venue and offers our members the opportunity to celebrate Navy Aviation while providing an incredible setting for the dinner.
You will be welcomed on the flight deck of “HMS ARK ROYAL” for pre-dinner drinks. RM Band Portsmouth will be supporting the event. Ten aircraft line the deck including two Blackburn Buccaneers, a Fairey Gannet, de Havilland Sea Vixen, McDonald Douglas Phantom and the first jet powered aircraft to land on an aircraft carrier- the de Hallivand Vampire.
You will travel through the museum to sit for dinner under Concorde 002, the first British prototype Concorde, while surrounded by other historic and record breaking aircraft. The venue has lined up some local suppliers, including the Brown and Forrest Smokery (suppliers to Fortnum and Mason) and a local gamekeeper to provide us with fresh and delicious food.
Following dinner there will be opportunity to further explore and enjoy drinks from the bar in this fascinating venue up to midnight.
Tickets will be limited to 150 people. Due to expected high demand we will initially limit each member to a pair of tickets. Tickets are £75 per person.
RNAS Yeovilton Wardroom is directly opposite the site and has rooms available for those wishing to book in advance. You are free to park at museum and leave your car their overnight should you so wish.
